IsabelleSo I’m actually obsessed with this. I think I want to adjust the neckline of this chemise. I thought I was being clever using elastic instead of a drawstring, but I was wrong. In a shocking turn of events, 3 yards of chiffon is kinda heavy for quarter inch elastic and its so saggy. And I hate how chunky the ruffles turned out with the elastic. I followed an actual extent medieval sewing method for the chemise until I got to the neckline. Turns out they knew what they were doing with the neckline. Whoda thunk. But the bodice is turning out sooooo pretty 😍 I’m so excited to finish it up. I think I only have like one more day of sewing to complete it. Just the boning, grommets and seam binding. My three least favorite parts of sewing lol. Fixing the neckline on the chemise is probably a whole day of sewing 😭. I might do it by hand tbh. God I hate gathering. I’m a pintuck girlie at heart. Which aaaactually…. something to noodle on. After this I’m going to make a skirt, petticoat, and pants for my handsome Ren faire date who’s letting me make his entire outfit 😍🥰.
